Health, Safety, & Community

Dear Friends,

As a sustainable brand, we are always conscious and recognize the impacts on the planet's ecosystem which affect the environment and humans alike. The Earth’s imbalance has exponentially increased in the past few decades and the ecosystem has suffered which in turn are manifesting negative effects to our well-being.

In light of the current COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation, we want to reassure you that we are taking all the necessary precautions as per the World Health Organization and local authorities' protocols in ensuring the health and safety of our customers, staff, and partners. We are giving our staff facts about COVID-19 and reminding them to follow simple but effective steps to keep them safe such as frequent hand-washing. As a small business, we have better control with regards to social distancing within the workplace, and in addition, we have supplied the facility and our staff with extra disinfectant wipes, and have masks and gloves available.

The World Health Organization has made it clear that it is safe to handle packages. And according to the CDC, "because of poor survivability of these coronaviruses on surfaces, there is likely very low risk of spread from products or packaging that are shipped over a period of days or weeks at ambient temperatures. Coronaviruses are generally thought to be spread most often by respiratory droplets. Currently there is no evidence to support transmission of COVID-19 associated with imported goods and there have not been any cases of COVID-19 in the United States associated with imported goods". Luckily, all our inventory is in the USA and shipped from California. To increase the bar on safety, unless we have pending orders to pull and ship, our staff will be working from home.

To help alleviate pressure during mandatory quarantine where most things are now being delivered, we are offering free shipping to all orders in the United States starting Monday, March 16, 2020, to April 30, 2020. Please use free shipping code 2GTHR2020.

Also to help the children in our communities who were depending upon initiatives like the National School Lunch Program, we are donating part of the proceeds from each sale to Save the Children in partnership with No Kid Hungry. Millions of children in the United States are affected by the schools shutting down, who were attending school not only for learning but also for breakfast, lunch and sometimes dinner. Now there are kids stuck at home without access to food, books and, in rural America, computers, broadband, or even print outs from schools that cannot afford paper and ink. They need our help.

Now more than ever, we need to practice sustainable lifestyles to restore the balance of our ecosystem that we have lost. We're in this together. We are connected. We are KIN. Let's do this!

Thank you,

Your Friends at KINdom
