KIRA-ECOD KINdom x THAMOG X-ray Tiger Shibori Top, Magenta/Black Eco-Dye
We collaborated with Los Angeles based artist Angie Correa of These Hands Are Made of Gold and upcycled our Kira v-neck, boxy drape, ruffle-sleeve top with natural talisay (black) dye from the Talisay tree leaves foraged by indigenous Itneg community of Abra, Philippines. First folded in half, then folded again and tied, the result is a smoky surreal shibori pattern with the effect of an x-ray. The black natural dye blends with the magenta fabric color to get some eggplant-indigo effect.
And just like our original solid version, it's just as versatile - worn with shorts and jeans for a casual look in the warmer months, or layered with a turtleneck underneath and a jacket on top with either pants or a skirt plus boots, for the colder months. How will you be styling it?
• V-neck, boxy slouchy drape top with cold shoulder and dolman ruffle sleeves
• 95% bamboo, 5% spandex
• Reclaimed fabric from dead stock, so no additional resources or chemicals used
• Made in China, upcycled in USA with Philippine indigenous natural dyes
• Gentle hand wash cold, or professional wet clean (more eco-friendly), or dry-clean
